Spread Boise State Spirit: From painting faces at Bronco Bash tailgate parties and driving the Spirit Cart around after a Bronco touchdown, to singing the Fight Song on campus, SAA members spread Bronco spirit all over campus. Create traditions: Since Boise State is not a university rich with tradition, SAA has implemented a few events in which they hope will become Boise State tradition. In the Fall, they serve orange and blue pancakes at the Short Stack Shindig. And in the Spring, they hit the SUB patio with free coke products for everyone wearing orange and blue during School Pride Day. Network with alumni: Conversing with alumni who were once Boise State students and are now working in their career of choice, can be a very valuable experience for students. There are opportunities to network with Boise State alumni during board meeting receptions, as well as listening to Spotlight Speakers at the general membership meetings. Alumni also make an effort to participate in some of SAA’s community service projects. Develop leadership skills: As a general member, we will find you a coordinating role right away. Whether its planning an event, or being responsible or recruiting on campus, we'll find a leadership position for you. After one year of membership, you may run for one of the 4 executive committee positions. Assist with community service projects: These are great opportunities to take Bronco pride into the community. Donning their orange and blue, SAA members have participated in projects such as Rake Up Boise, IPTV Festival, serving at the Boise Rescue Mission, and St. Alphonsus Children’s Race. And best of all… Socialize with other Broncos: Whether with other SAA members, alumni, Alumni Association staff, or the campus community… you will get your fill of hanging with Bronco fans! |
